Just wondering how the 4BT would preform in place of a 6.5 in a GMC 3500 crew cab 2wd with 5 speed manual this truck sees some pulling (hay and cattle) but mostly transportation only. Thanks for any info you can give. This is my father in law's truck and I hate to see him spend the money on a new 6.5 ($7000 installed is one quote he has gotten)

the truck :93 GMC 3500 2WD Crew Cab Southern Comfort conversion

Dave, what kind of mileage would the 230 hp 4bt get in a one ton truck? and how much will it cost for that kind of hp? this truck will probably see lots of miles if it does well and is bearable to drive. it has 300k mi on it now but we think it is worth saving. Thanks for your input.

you should see between 20 to 23 mpg . all i had in the 4bt was a pdr fuel pin, 3200 governer spring, pod injectors, and compounding turbo's. you can run this in a single turbo i whould use a pdr hx35 with a 12cm gated housing. the rest is free tuning of the pump. Dave

What kind of hp would the 4bt have stock? And can these upgrades be done in the truck? I have herd that some bread vans are on gm frames so the swap should be rather painless is this true? Where can a guy get the upgrade parts?
Thanks
Bill
